THE FUN FITNESS-MACHINE!   As Seen On TV!

How do you motivate the majority of Americans to exercise?  It's not that they don't want to exercise, but they really need a good reason for doing it -- a reason better than exercise itself.  Trikke delivers that reason in one word - FUN!   For Trikke owners around the world it's FUN that gets them out of the house and FUN that keeps them riding.  The Trikke is stable, sturdy and doesn't require balance just a rock-n-roll motion!  The cambering mechanism keeps all 3 wheels on the ground at all times.  It's user friendliness, stability and accessibility has individuals of all ages, sizes and abilities putting Trikke at the forefront of their active lifestyles.

What is it? The Trikke (pronounced "trike") is a human powered, three-wheeled cambering (carving) vehicle that utilizes conservation of angular momentum to allow a rider to propel forward. The rider alternates leaning side-to-side to move forwards. The area needed to move forward is roughly the width of a downtown sidewalk (1-1.5 m).

HEALTH BENEFITS -

No Impact - Just Muscle Exercise! Most Trikke owners are in their 40s,  50's, 60's and some youngsters in their 70's.  The Trikke is also extremely popular with the younger generation.  The fun, comfort and security of the Trikke has people of all ages enjoying the outdoors.   Running is high impact on your joints, wa lking is just too slow, inline skating can be hazardous.  The Trikke is the me dium between walking and running but with no impact - just muscle exercise .  Go longer distances to get that extended workout without over exerting.  Inline skating (roller blading) only has 2 points on the ground which makes you vulnerable.   The Trikke and it's 3 point stance gives you the comfort, security and stability that most prefer.   You'll also burn 100's of calories and tone yo ur muscles while getting a good cardio-pulmonary workout that is so important to your daily health.  You'll also enjoy more scenery!  Carving for 5 to 10 miles is very common on the Trikke.  You'll intrigue people and turn their heads.  Get on a Trikke today and see for yourself how FUN the FITNESS MACHINE can be!

FAMILY Trikke has a model for every age and size to help your family rediscover the fun and enjoyments of riding together. Whether you have miles of beach front boardwalks or just your own driveway, it's fun to ride even in the tightest of quarters.  So mom and dad can jump on and join in the fun for a riot of a time with your kids.

What is a Trikke?

Trikke (pronounced trike)
Trikke three-wheeled cambering vehicles are human powered machines that utilize Trikke Tech's patented 3CV technology to allow a rider to propel a chainless, pedal-less device forward without ever touching foot to ground. This elegantly simple construct provides a stable 3-point platform that leans into the turn with the rider while all three wheels remain in contact with the ground. A rider may reach speeds of up to 18 mph on flat ground, ride 50 miles in one day, and climb the steepest of hills (with practice!).

Trikke's design allows the rider to naturally engage his entire body throughout the ride. Legs are active for balancing and shock-absorption and arms punch for power-thrusts and hang on for stability and control. The Trikke 3-wheeler allows you, the rider, to feel the miracle of your own body and mind working in graceful unison. The bi-products of the ride are joy, health, fitness and a renewed appreciation for yourself and your life.  What other outdoor vehicle can you utilize that is fun, fitness and healthy for the body all in one machine?

We like to think of the Trikke as the Ultimate Fun-Fitness Machine that has had years of engineering and development to make it the machine it is today.  Trikke Tech, Inc has an engineering team that is constantly developing new products and ensuring quality is at it's highest standard.

TRIKKE SKI

TRIKKE SKI

TRIKKE SKI

TRIKKE SKI

No extra equipment needed
Riding the Trikke SKKI does not require any additional equipment, normal snow boots or hiking shoes are sufficient.

Fun
The Trikke SKKI is most of all a Fun product. Riding the SKKI bring a smile to you face, because you are in control, feeling free and enjoying the ride! The SKKI is carving fun for all!

Carving Sensation
A snowboard or a set of carve skis allows a rider to make sharp turns, to generate more speed and it gives more control. Trikke has added it's patented cambering vehicle to the carve skis, this brings a real new carving sensation! Riders experience the same speed and control as on a snowboard or carve ski, but the cambering vehicle gives it an extra dimension. The carving experience on a Trikke SKKI surprises the best skiers and snowboarders throughout the world.

Powder
The Trikke SKKI is very suitable for powder riding. The front ski is wider then the tail ski's, this gives the front ski more volume on powder snow. With this wider front ski the riders can experience the off-piste sensation in an early stage.

Freedom
The riders experience a feeling of freedom. In contrast to ski's and snowboards the riders aren't attached to the vehicle. The riders experience this as free, safe and in control. The overall control seems to be better than riding a snowboard. The three ski's give a lot more of stopping power and the fact that the rider can step of at anytime gives novice riders a safe feeling.

Practice makes perfect
“Practice makes perfect” this can be said about the Trikke SKKI. After the novice stage a rider can make turns and come down the slopes in style! But it doesn't end there a rider can really grow. At the moment the first fanatic riders are pushing the envelope in ski resorts all over the world, they are making long powder runs and are already doing several tricks.

Short learning curve
The learning curve is very short, with a simple explanation or lesson people of all ages can ride the Trikke SKKI. It makes the carving experience available to all. The short learning curve makes the SKKI perfect for rental programs. After a couple of hours a novice rider can make real deep carving turns, so it brings fun on the first day in the snow!

How to ride the Skki?

  • Just get up on the flatform and stand straight up.

  • Grab the handlebars on the sides and steer the Skki downhill.

  • Lean the vehicle by moving your body weight into the turn.

  • Don't over steer, let the carve ski's make the turn for you.

  • To get a deep carve push the handle bar into the turn, this way the edges of the ski's will "eat" the snow and you'll carve like a pro!

The Skki is equipped with custom, European-made, wood-core, shaped skis and generous foam-padded handlebar; The skis are easily removed for transport, and the entire machine comes pre-packed in a custom carry bag that can be worn like a back-pack or carried by the shoulder strap. Not heavy either, the entire package only weighs 34 lbs.

Trikke – Fun on 3 Wheels For the Entire Family by Sheri Johnson

Ever since the first time I saw one of these nifty vehicles I was very intrigued, but not enough to fork out the money not knowing whether or not it was going to be easy to do and of course the price tag itself at the time was a little cost prohibitive to us.

Recently I had the opportunity to once again revisit the idea of the Trikke.  In my research I found out that they had made many changes to the original Trikke.  Of course that just added to my confusion since I had no idea where to start or what model to look at.

Keep in mind that to date I still only had ever seen one of these things in person and I opted not to try it out that day so I would feel inclined to buy one.  My husband did try it out, but this was several years ago.

We were looking for something else to do together for fun and possibly for exercise.  So we decided we would just buy one first to see what we thought of it and from there, we might get another one so we could ride together.  I was still trying to decide what to do when my husband surprised me with a new Trikke T78 on my birthday.  That right there helped in eliminating the decision on which one to order.  Even though I might have wanted a bigger one to start out with, it was a good choice and it gave us the idea of whether or not we would like it and be good at it.

The T78 is a good starter Trikke.  It has a 8 inch front air tire and 7 inch polyurethane wheels on the back.  One of the nicer features on this model is the ease of unfolding the Trikke.  It is also fairly lightweight and compact, so it travels easily.

Day one, I was okay on it but not as skillful.  I re-watched the videos after my first test ride and from there started gaining the skills needed to get the most out of the Trikke riding experience.  After really getting the hang of it, I normally ride for one to one and a half hours each time I go out to ride my Trikke.  I normally ride at our church parking lot because it is fairly level with no debris and of course a lot of wide open space.  I have also ridden at the track that circles our local park though it is more hilly, but still a great challenge.

You may be wondering if I actually get a workout doing this or if I am just riding and playing around.  Let me assure you that you do work your muscles and get a cardio workout while riding the Trikke.  It is a great exercise, it is fun and I would have to say it is addictive.

For Christmas I surprised my 4 year old daughter with a Trikke just her size.  I bought her the T5 in pink.  It is very durable and solid.  She just loved the idea of having a Trikke so she could ride with me.  Now that she has gotten a chance to also gain some Trikke skills she is now getting to the point that she can Trikke up slight inclines and that is at the age of 4 years old.  I even have some videos of her riding her Trikke online if you want to check it out.

Since I also demo the Trikke to people in the area and let them test ride them, I came to realize I really needed a larger all air tire Trikke for the demo and test rides.  I came to this realization one day when this guy called me and he just wasn’t even interested in coming out to see the Trikke I had.  So, nevertheless, I turned around shortly after that and came to the decision to get a T12 Trikke Roadster.  My reasoning was if I had a larger Trikke with all air tires, I should be able to please almost anyone.

So the T12 arrives and you know after riding the other one for so many months, it was all I really knew.  The T12 resembles a very high end bicycle in my opinion as far as quality goes.  It was amazing for me to see how much larger it was and the tires being 12 inches was such a difference.  So I got it all put together and got the tires pumped up and I have to say it was a completely different ride.

Here is my analogy of the difference between the two different styles of Trikke.  The T78 feels like you are on inline skates….  The T12 feels like you are driving a Cadillac.  Both are fine machines in my book, but I did want to take the time to share with you the differences in the best way I could explain.

Now the other issue you might be facing is the manufacturer of the Trikkes had not expected such popularity and demand for their product that at times it seems that there are no Trikkes available for immediate purchase.  Let me assure you that more Trikkes are on the way and many times when things are in great demand the only way to get one quickly is to put one on backorder if possible.  I also recently found out that the dealer we work with also has a layaway program in case you are figuring out how to afford a higher end model or a Trikke for every member of your family.
